southern sunday :: outer banks style

If you are looking to get away for the weekend and you live in North Carolina, why not visit the Outer Banks? Some of my favorite towns that dot the coastline are Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Duck and Cape Hatteras. Take highway 64 for a couple of hours and you will end up surrounded by marsh lands, hurricane worn trees, sand dunes and the ocean shore.

With the vast wildlife, historical landmarks, lighthouses, fresh seafood, and wild Spanish horses are the many wonderful people and secret spots to visit if you need a micro-vacation from the city. Here are some of my favorite images of these lovely places. I hope you enjoy them and they inspire you to take a trip to one of my favorite areas of the South.
