iRetroFone :: freeland studios

I'm a huge lover of all things Mac and when I stumbled upon Freeland Studios very cool combination of the iPhone and retro house phone...happiness filled my heart. Florida artist Scott Freeland fuses Art with Function and I seriously want two of these for our home. The best part....You can actually talk into this phone's receiver by plugging into your iPhone...VERY COOL!

The iRetroFone Base is a fully-functional, stationary iPhone dock with working handset and complete compatibility with USB cable. Each individual iRetroFone is hand-sculpted and handcast in urethane resin by Scott at Freeland Studios, Inc.

flock of inspiration :: artist frank gonzales

As many of you know birds are a strong theme in my life. Needless to say I am quite smitten with the works of Frank Gonzales. His bird paintings have pretty much stolen my heart. I love the patterns and composition on each piece almost as if each bird was vibrating color.

wonderful news :: garrett scales

I recently did an interview with Raleigh artist Garrett Scales featuring his gorgeous ladies. Well something awesome is happening in downtown Raleigh! Scales will be the newest artist at Artspace where his giant works will be featured.

Sun - Garrett Scales newest lady - 48" x 93"

For now his art will be featured in the Connecting Gallery in the rear of Artspace but on July 6th he's moving into studio 108 and will be there until January 10th. So be sure to come by and support him! I can't wait to see his newest pieces! (can you tell I'm a fan?) CONGRATS Garrett!

hidden beauty :: macro style

Last week I finally got around to using the macro lens my fiancé gave me and I was lucky enough to find a couple of models in our backyard. This little guy was sun bathing on one of the bushes in our yard and was too comfortable to move so I took the chance to snap some pictures while he lounged around. The others were of some very tiny models I had building a home in our flower bed. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with the new lens and the pictures! Thanks honey!
